The Jefferson Federation of Teachers (JFT) represents Jefferson Parish teachers & school employees. We are a part of the Louisiana Federation of Teachers, which is widely recognized as Louisiana’s most effective advocate for teachers and school employees.
JFT is a democratic organization of teachers and support staff, run by elected teachers and support staff. By coming together, we have the collective power to advocate for the changes we know are needed!
JFT is the sole collective bargaining agent of full-time teachers, counselors, librarians, speech therapists, social workers, educational diagnosticians, school psychologists and nurses in the Jefferson Parish Public School System.
All JP Schools employees who are not supervisors are invited and encouraged to become members!
